Articles Wanted - Ahead of official release

We're looking for new articles and HOWTO's for the Raspberry Pi.

 If you would like to write and article or HOWTO and help other members of the RasPi community please contact us at:

In return we'll publish your article, with you name or nickname, and give you a page on the website where everyone can see your contributions. Once we have enough articles in this section we will be opening up this section to everyone.

 

To publish your article we just need to know:

  1. Your name (or nickname)
  2. A description of the article and what it explains (around 100 words)
  3. The Category it belongs in (Select one from the BUILD,  DEVELOP, SHARE menu above)

The $25 ARM GNU/Linux computer that could change the world

There isn’t much any small group of people can do to address problems like an inadequate school curriculum or the end of a financial bubble. But we felt that we could try to do something about the situation where computers had become so expensive and arcane that programming experimentation on them had to be forbidden by parents; and to find a platform that, like those old home computers, could boot into a programming environment.

 

Over the next few years, Eben, having left the university for industry, worked on building prototypes of what has now become the Raspberry Pi in his spare time.
